Ogun Police Commissioner to kick off second edition of Egba Youth Football Championship

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police,  Kenneth Ebrimson, will perform this year’s kick-off of the first match of the second edition of Egba Youth Football Championship (2020 EYFC Cup) commencing  Friday at the Muda Lawal Stadium, Asero, Abeokuta.

Speakersden Tv reports that, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Olalekan Shoyinka, popularly known as ‘Ayinla Egba’,in a statement explained that, the competition  is organised for youths to experience competitive relationships and learn how to form close and durable human relationships with peers, and  will curb various anti-social vices in the society.
The Chairman disclosed that 432 players from 24 different communities in Ogun Central Senatorial District will play against each other for the top prize, commencing from 6th March to 19th April, 2020, stressing that the police boss will lead a host of other dignitaries at the opening ceremony to take the first kick and to officially declare the competition open.

Speakersden Tv  further reports that, Shoyinka , a broadcaster who is also known as ‘Mr Jawonsi’ said other guests expected at the opening ceremony are the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Youth and Sports, Engr Abiodun  Olayiwola and the Director of Administration, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Alhaji Adetunji Kanimodo.

The dignatries also  include Director of Sports, Ogun State Sports Council, Mr. Sola Faleti, the Chief Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta (FMCA),  Professor Adewale Musa-Olomu, the Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor on Health, Dr. Kehinde Olayiwola Ololade and Coach Hakeem Adaranijo, Head of Coaching (Football) Ogun State Sports Council, among others.
