Tuesday's UEFA Champions League matches have come and gone. We will talk about what we learned from today's matches and how accurate my predictions were for each match.
GROUP E
Liverpool traveled to Salzburg and defeated them by 2 goals. Goals from Naby Keita amd Mohammed Salah who was particularly wasteful in front of goal condemned Salzburg to the Europa league.

Napoli were always going to beat a Genk side who never stood a chance after getting only 1 point from all group stage matches. The Naples outfit dispatched the Belgian side by 4 goals. Hattrick from Arkadiusz Milik and a penalty by Dries Mertens secured qualification.

Dortmund beat Slavia Prague 2-1 at home to qualify for the knockout stages of the UCL.

Inter couldn't capitalize on home advantage and rested players from the Barcelona squad as they lost 1-2 to Barcelona. Goals coming from Barcelona academy graduates Carles Perez and Ansu Fati while Lukaku scored Inter's solitary goal.

GROUP G
Benfica beat Zenit St. Petersburg at home 3-0 to qualify for the Europa league and condemn a lackluster Zenit to bottom of the group.

Lyon and RasenBallsport Leipzig played out a 2-2 draw at the Stade Gerland. Two penalties from Emil Fosberg and Timo Werner was canceled out by strikes from Houssem Aouar and Memphis Depay.

GROUP F
Valencia traveled to the Johan Cruyff Arena and did the impossible - beat Ajax at home with a disciplined performance. Albert Celades' boys nullified Ajax's threat and Ajax had only 2 shots on target in the 2nd half. Rodrigo's goal was the difference and catapulted Valencia to top spot and condemned Ajax to the Europa league. Even i did not believe Valencia could pull it off.

Chelsea beat Lille 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to seal second spot and qualification to the next round. Goals from Tammy Abraham and captain Cesar Azpilicueta was enough to see them through while Loic Remy's strike only proved to be a consolation.
