ABOUT SNOW ACE
My name is AJAO DAMILOLA GANIYU aka SNOW ACE, from the western part of Nigeria. A basic description of myself would be jovial and ecstatic among my very close friends but an introvert outside my circle, this behavior might seem awkward but I love to get adapted to my environment before coming out of shell. Music for me has been like the catalyst of my life, it pushes me towards my best and brings equilibrium to my life in times of imbalance.
My average day is well spent with my headphones on 19hours of the entire day and I do have some liking to sports, football in particular. Being a lover of music, every genre is appealing to my ears only if it gives me the positivity I seek. Above all these genres, hip-hop/rap music has always been at the top of my heart which can be traced back to my early ages and where I first drew inspiration.
M.I ABAGA was my first role model in rap music, I recall how I memorized the lyrics of his songs like my life depended on them and then performed them in class among my peers on many occasions. Aside M.I ABAGA, they were other great artists who skyrocketed my interest in rap music, the likes of KENDRICK LAMAR, WALE, LIL WAYNE and LOGIC were top on the list. Their storytelling prowess, the ability to drown you in the sea of rhymes with relatable instances and also fuse their emotions into the instrumentals with clean cut vocals in their own styles has been captivating. I decided to build a proper career in music because I’m at a point in my life where I have had negative experiences while on the streets, in school and basically my environment with very little positives to hold-on to.

The world has said a lot to me in different ways, those messages sunk deep in my heart which inspired me to speak back to the world in the little way I can and also give those who have been in similar situations something they can relate to, so they can find solace no matter how little. Aside the message in my songs, building a befitting image for rap music is one of my goals, I want the average Nigerian youth to see music as an avenue to change the world and impact their immediate environment positively not otherwise.
Some of my songs are BAD ENERGY, which was my first song to be released, THE COME UP and MEGAMAN were produced by Neyo black. I have been featured in two songs, which are 4 RINGS and BROKE LIFE. My latest single ‘LOVE YOURZ’ which will be released on 26 December, 2019 is produced by Sir Lau.
In summary, gaining worldwide recognition for my art, the hope of sharing one stage with any of my role models and many more are one of my biggest dreams that I cling on to till it becomes reality.
