The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore socio-cultural organisation has said governors who want peace in their states should create settlements for herdsmen. The Federal Government earlier this year halted the proposed Rural Grazing Reserve Area (RUGA) for herdsmen following the controversies it raised.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole has apologised to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State over the attack on his convoy. The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu; the Edo Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and some dignitaries were in Obaseki’s convoy when the attack took place.

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has said he would always go for a peaceful resolution of disagreements in the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Edo Governor spoke on Saturday following the attack on his convoy at the country home of the APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole.

A northern elder and former Minister of Information and Communications (State) Dasuki Nakande has told Igbo to get more involved in national politics to clinch the 2023 Presidency. Dasuki urged the South East region to warm their way into the hearts of people from other regions if they wish to produce President Muhammamadu Buhari’s successor.

Former Governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha has expressed his concerns that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) may lose in 2023, as it does not have a common ideology. Okorocha, while speaking in Kano on Saturday addressed the long feud between APC National Chairman, Adams Aliyu Oshiomole and Edo state governor, Godwin Obasaki.

The Lagos State Government has demolished the rest part of the collapsed two-storey building and others for failing integrity tests. A two-storey building under construction in Lagos State collapsed on Friday.

The Nigerian Army has debunked reports making the rounds that it will commence a nationwide exercise code-named Operation Positive Identification. It described the reports of the exercise which was said will require Nigerians to show proof of their citizenship to soldiers who will be deployed across the states as mischievous.

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has explained the reason behind the stoppage of the Ibadan circular road project which his predecessor Abiola Ajimobi awarded. Makinde had on Thursday ordered that the work be stopped with immediate effect. His directive to halt the work has attracted several criticisms with the major opposition in the state describing the Governor’s action as hypocritical.

Nigerian singer Blackface has revealed that defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz will release an album titled ‘The Return’ in 2020. Blackface made the revelation in a recent interview where he revealed that the group is still very much active.

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare believes that the Golden Eaglets will bounce back from their 1-2 defeat to Australia in their last group match at the ongoing 2019 U17 World Cup in Brazil. Five-time world champions failed to turn things around after going 1-2 down to hand Australia their first win in the competition.
