Antoine Garibaldi , president of University of Detroit Mercy, was elected to the board of directors of Georgetown University. Prior to joining UDM, he was president of Gannon University from 2001 through 2010. A noted educational psychologist, he has a doctorate from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree from Howard University.
Dennis Bott was named executive director of the Macomb -Oakland Regional Center, and will take over for Jerry Provencal, who plans to retire in March. He is the organization’s chief operating officer and has been with the organization since 1976. MORC, based in Clinton Township, provides services to people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. Bott has assisted with MORC’s transition from a state agency to a nonprofit. He is a past recipient of the ARC of Oakland County President’s Award. He received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
Bonnie Mayfield, a Bloomfield Hills-based member in Dykema’s litigation practice, was named vice chair of diversity programs for the diversity committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel. She is the immediate past vice chair of diversity initiatives. She is a member of Dykema’s national trial team. She received a bachelor’s degree from Dillard University and a law degree from New York University.
Rafael Turner joined the Ruth Mott Foundation as a program officer. Prior to joining, he was a senior consultant with the Flint Area Reinvestment Office where he was responsible for identifying new federal and state funding opportunities. He also worked in the office of retired U.S. Rep. Dale Kildee. He has a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan-Flint.
Randy Froschheuser was named an Emagine Entertainment general manager, overseeing the day-to day operations of the Emagine Palladium and the Ironwood Grill.
Erik Wessel , Rhoeben DelaCruz and Emery Eriksen were named theater managers at the Emagine Palladium. Andy Begole was named executive chef of the restaurant, and Jeremy Gabler, sous chef.
