The Federal Government has extended the joint border operations code-named ‘Exercise Swift Response’ till next year as President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the extension of the exercise until January 31, 2020. This was revealed in a memo dated November 1, 2019, and signed by the Comptroller of Customs in charge of enforcement, Victor David Dimka.

Organised labour has appealed to state Houses of Assembly to identify with workers by compelling governors to pay the new minimum wage. Boboye Oyeyemi, the Corps Marshal of Nigeria’s Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), has ordered investigation into the issuance of the number plate with “Chip Whip”. The number plate, purportedly for a member of the Kano state House of Assembly, has been trending on social media for wrong spelling. And Oyeyemi has directed the Sector Commander of Kano State to investigate the origin of the number plate in the state.
